The Koran of the Iraqi Ministry of Endowments
This copy of the Noble Qur’an was printed by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in Iraq in 1401 AH - 1981 AD under the direction of Mr. Saddam Hussein, President of
the Republic of Iraq.
Originally, a copy of the Noble Qur’an presented by the mother of the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Aziz Khan to the cemetery of Al-Baghdadi Al-Baghdadi, may God have mercy on him, and
it was written in the handwritten by the Turkish calligrapher Muhammed Amin Al-Rushdie. The Iraqi committee specialized in revising it and checking it in the beginning of the
seventies of the last century, and was able to print it in 1972 in the West German printing press after the great Iraqi calligrapher Professor Hashem Muhammad Al-Baghdadi, may
God have mercy on him - who died in 1973 - was charged with overseeing the restoration of the copy and adding what was missing of it, and I have added fingers Hashem has a new
luster on the Qur’an, as he has done the following things in order for the copy to look the best:
- Hashem, may God have mercy on him, designed the cover of the Noble Qur’an and wrote the title frame on the outer cover: “It is a noble Qur’an in a hidden book.”
Design the first page of the Koran.
He wrote Surat Al-Fatihah and the first verses of Surat Al-Baqara with the seal and its decoration.
- Embellish the decoration of the verses' heads, numbers, titles, and signs of the verses from the prostrations, parties, parts, and decoration around the pages.
Books on the supplication of the Qur’an, the identification of the Qur’an, the end of the edition, and the Supervisory Committee.
It was reprinted in 1982 for the Ministry of Awqaf,
These works were the beautiful suit that Hashim Al-Khattat cast with his talent on the Holy Qur’an to show him a model of perfection in calligraphy and decoration, after some
parts of his pages went. The artistic value in this honorable copy lies in adhering to the rules of the transcription line in writing his letters and words, and this has had a
profound effect in showing him an appearance worthy of the book of God, and from it we discover the value of the artistic impact of the Holy Qur’an in supplementing the march
of the Arabic font towards perfection, which was positively reflected in the form of Arabic letters Other resources for writing are not limited to the Noble Qur’an only.
